Plate Grading SystemNew: As new, unused with original box. Mint: Perfect condition, never used, and with no manufacturing defects. Has original packaging or box. Near Mint: Nearly mint except for some very minor damage to box or minus original packaging. Excellent: No chips, cracks, crazing, discoloration or visible imperfections and no signs of use. Any manufacturing defect will be noted. Very Good: May have slight imperfection, only visible with close inspection. Good: May show minor wear. May have slight discoloration (must be noted), but no chips or cracks. Fair: This would be heavily used. Possibly restorable. May have value if rare or hard-to-find, and that is the only reason I would offer it. Poor: Rating given to a plate I probably would not even bother to sell.
